Leather Treatment
No matter how you look at it, Colorado is dry. While this means that none of us will ever have to worry about leaving big yellow sweat stains on our t-shirts, it also means that we must pay special attention to the care of our leathers.
All leather goods … everything from seats to chaps to leather jackets … dry out in our non-humid environment. Over time, and left untreated, these leather products will stiffen, become brittle, and will eventually crack. This can cause stitching and seams to fail, and in the case of protective leather wear, may render it useless in the event of an accident.
To protect your expensive leathers, use Harley-Davidson® Leather Dressing (part number 98261-91V) to weatherproof, preserve, and protect your saddlebags, seats, tank panels, and apparel. Simply apply a small amount to your leather, and buff until dry. That's all it takes to ensure that your leathers will look and perform their best for years to come.
